Coalition to End Homelessness

South Coast Regional Network to End Homelessness

Since 2009, United Way of Greater Attleboro/Taunton has staffed a coalition of organizations working together to provide a path to permanence for people experiencing homelessness.  Partners include city & town governments, housing authorities, law enforcement agencies, state and local mental health organizations, adult & family shelters, domestic violence agencies, food providers, and others with an interest in ending homelessness & securing affordable housing.

Through the Coalition, the partners are able to offer streamlined, effective services from identifying a homeless individual to providing shelter, counseling, job training, and eventually permanent housing. The South Coast Regional Network, often called SoCo, addresses the root causes of homelessness to provide real solutions.  With United Way at the helm, SoCo has become a state and national model for effective collaboration.
