BASIC HUMAN NEEDS
The fastest growing population of people experiencing homelessness and
visiting food pantries are working families. Low wages, high cost of
living, and the lack of educational opportunities all contribute to the
epidemic of homelessness & hunger in our community. With your
investment, United Way supports a variety of emergency and intervention
programs that respond to the basic needs of your friends, neighbors and
co-workers. Such basic needs include housing, food, shelter, clothing,
health, etc.
