Days of Caring Celebrates 10th Year

April is National Volunteer Month
April 1, 2009 - UWGAT is celebrating it’s 10th year hosting Days of Caring!  With April being National Volunteer Month, and the week of April 19 – April 25, 2009 being National Volunteer Week, we are strongly advocating community awareness, community involvement, and community spirit.

Days of Caring creates a wonderful opportunity to spread this message and gives local companies the opportunity to show their support and to witness first hand how their contributions make an impact in our community.  Please contact Melissa Vanhorn, Community Impact Coordinator at 508-222-2337, ext. 106 or Melissa@uwgat.org for more information about Days of Caring. To view available projects, please visit our website page: GET INVOLVED/DAY OF CARING.

UWGAT would like to take this opportunity to thank the countless volunteers who help us throughout the year.  These special individuals give of their time, talents, and treasures in order to help us in our mission to "do the most possible good for the greatest number of people."

UWGAT is also fortunate to have individuals supporting our community by volunteering to serve on such committees as: Board of Directors, Incorporators, Community Impact Committee, Community Allocation Panels, Homeless Coalitions, as well as assisting at UWGAT events.

Volunteers make a significant difference and are typically the communities' unsung heroes.  We thank and applaud our countless volunteers and encourage anyone interested in volunteering, other than Days of Caring, to please contact MASS 211 or visit www.Mass211.org
