Point in Time Count - January 27, 2010

December 14, 2009 - The Greater Attleboro/Taunton Coalition for Homelessness is conducting its annual Point In time Count of homeless individuals and families on Wednesday, January 27, 2010.  This Point in Time Count is required by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for continued funding to local programs that help those in need of housing.  Volunteers are needed to participate in this count.  Volunteers will be asked to set out into groups to interview homeless people in the following communities; Attleboro, Berkley, Dighton, Mansfield, North Attleboro, Norton, Raynham, Rehoboth, Seekonk, and Taunton.

 

Volunteers will be asked to attend a training meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 2:30 pm at Community Counseling of Bristol County, One Washington Street, Taunton. 

 

There will be two simultaneous kick-offs on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in Taunton and in Attleboro.  Volunteers who will be covering the Taunton, Raynham, Berkley, or Dighton areas will meet at Taunton City Hall at 9:00 AM.  Volunteers who will be covering the Attleboro, North Attleboro, Mansfield, Norton, Rehoboth, or Seekonk areas will meet at Attleboro City Hall at 9:00 AM.  If you are interested in volunteering, or have any questions, please contact Melissa Vanhorn at Melissa@uwgat.org or (508)222-2337 ext 106.
