National Corporate Philanthropy Day - February 25th

THANK YOU TO OUR PARTNERS!
February 25, 2008 - The generosity of corporate America will be celebrated February 25, 2008, designated as National Corporate Philanthropy Day.   Trends show corporate giving is on the rise.  Socially responsible companies, the keystones to a strong, healthy environment, realize the importance of giving back to their community.  Established 4 years ago by the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, NCPD seeks to build awareness of the corporate/community partnership and inspire businesses across the country to engage in further philanthropy. When polled, 85% of Massachusetts respondents said it was important to work for a socially responsible company.

Helping a community takes teamwork.  At the local level, United Way of Greater Attleboro/Taunton partners with more than 150 corporate leaders and endeavors to maximize the caring potential of our society by mobilizing all available resources.  Corporate donations of time, money, and expertise allow United Way to make community investments which address critical current health and human service needs through broad based community-wide funding.  As a volunteer driven organization, United Way also provides opportunities for employees to get involved in meaningful ways.

United Way of Greater Attleboro/Taunton would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank our corporate partners and volunteers who have taken responsibility by fostering a culture of giving and service.  Businesses both large and small are encouraged to get involved and make giving a part of their corporate culture.
